On the way up the mountain, Caden asked her, “Sonia, what did you say to your fellow members of the Taoist Sect? How did you get all of them to agree to come here so quickly?”
In fact, what Caden meant was that Sonia had just taken over as the leader of the Taoist Sect, so it might not be possible for everyone in the Taoist Sect to fully accept her identity as the leader of the Taoist Sect in just a few days, let alone be convinced and obey her orders.
Sonia was not a fool, so she said directly, “Master, when I went back, I didn’t tell them that you had passed on the position as the leader of the Taoist Sect to me.”
Caden asked in surprise, “What? You didn’t tell them?”
Sonia pouted and said, “Why should I tell them? If I told them, would I still be able to influence them?”
Caden blurted out, “My goodness! Don’t tell me that you told them that it was my idea to move the Taoist Sect to Aurous Hill?!”
Sonia nodded and said, “That’s right! That’s exactly what I said! You’re the only one who has this influence and appeal. Otherwise, would they have been so obedient and quickly packed up to follow me here?”
Caden was about to cry as he said, “Sonia, you’re lying! You’re using my name to deceive them, but how are you going to explain the truth to them when I’m no longer the leader of the Taoist Sect now?”
Sonia said seriously, “Why should I explain things to them, Master? You should be the one explaining things to them.”
Caden became anxious and blurted out, “Me?! Why should I explain things to them? I’m not even the leader of the Taoist Sect!”
