Charlie nodded. “Go ahead and ask, then.”
“Okay.” Merlin picked up his notepad immediately. Merlin had already listed out the questions he wanted to know during the course of Charlie’s conversation with the few people just now.
The first few questions were actually the questions that Charlie had already asked when he was in Bergen in Northern Europe.
These questions were in relation to their identity, intelligence, the location of their quarters, and also some specific information about their living quarters.
These seven people naturally told him everything they knew in one go.
Merlin listened carefully, and after they had finished explaining the basic information, he asked, “What is the organizational structure of the Armed Calvary Guards in Cyprus?”
The leader explained, “There are two hundred and seventy-one members of the Armed Calvary Guards that are divided into three banners, namely, left, center, and right, with ninety people in each banner. Each banner is divided into three battalions, each with thirty people, and each battalion is further divided into three teams, each comprised of ten people with a commander, below which are the three banner commanders, the nine battalion commanders, and the twenty-seven team captains. I’m the commander of the first battalion of the center banner.”
As he spoke, he continued to elaborate, “In addition, there’s a Section Ambassador further up as well as five personal guards by the Section Ambassador’s side. They are people of another system with a much higher status compared to us.”
Merlin asked him, “What is the official position of the Section Ambassador?”
The man replied, “The Section Ambassador is the supreme commander of the entire base, and he is in charge of the life and death of everyone in the base.”
Merlin frowned and asked, “The Section Ambassador, Commander, Armed Calvary Guard... These functional titles of yours seem to be very ancient. What are their origins?”
