Charlie and Claire accompanied Elaine to have a whole day of fun in New York the next day.
During lunch, Charlie mentioned that there was a client in New York who wanted to discuss something with him at night, and Claire and Elaine did not think much of it. After all, Charlie was very busy with his ‘career’ now, and the two of them had long been psychologically prepared for this.
Charlie accompanied and had dinner with both of them before driving them back to the hotel. After that, he drove to the Fox family’s private manor on Long Island.
Charlie had originally planned to come over to meet with Lord Fox so that he could give him the promise that he had always been dreaming of in front of Kathleen. At the same time, he wanted to ensure that Lord Fox would give Kathleen unwavering support for as long as he lived.
However, what Charlie did not expect was that when Lord Fox found out that Charlie was coming, he had notified everyone in the Fox family the previous night and asked all the immediate family members of the Fox family to rush back to Fox Mansion tonight no matter where they were to greet Charlie and give him a grand welcome.
After all, Jordan was the person with the second highest authority in the Fox family, so no one dared to violate his order since there was no objection from Kathleen.
So, when Charlie drove into the Fox Mansion, he was surprised to find that the people greeting him on both sides of the road were all members of the Fox family.
Kathleen and Jordan were both standing respectfully at the end of the road as they waited for Charlie.
As soon as Charlie had stopped the car, Jordan came to the car door with Kathleen’s help.
After Charlie got out of the car, Jordan was the first to take the lead as he bowed and said respectfully, “Welcome, Mr. Wade!”
The members of the Fox family around him also spoke in unison, “Welcome, Mr. Wade!”
Charlie also saw Spencer, who was Jordan’s eldest son, and Homer’s grandfather as well as Xavion, who was Homer’s father.
The two of them were standing among the crowd at this time, and they had respectful and humble expressions on their faces. They were no longer as arrogant and domineering as they were in the past.
In addition, there were also some unfamiliar faces that Charlie had never seen before.
