Charlie spoke up and said, “Look, what these rich people or wealthy families that we usually come into contact with usually like to do is to make more money with money. They were born just to make money, which would only lead to them spending money where it could increase or add value and bring greater wealth to them. By doing so, they are completely blinded by money.”
Having said that, Charlie said again, “If a family has already seen through excess money and is treating it as nothing more than just a number game and is thus spending money in the direction of pure consumption in the true sense or has no other way to manifest it with specific values at all, what would happen, then?”
“Pure consumption...” Kathleen frowned and thought for a moment, but she was still a little puzzled. So, she said embarrassedly, “Mr. Wade, I still do not understand it well. Can you explain more to me?”
Charlie said seriously, “To give you the simplest example, the Rothschild family’s assets of more than ten trillion US dollars are placed in industries that can reflect value such as investments in gems and mines, investing in the world’s top 500 listed companies, or even to set up a bank directly to use the bank to lend money to other companies in exchange for high interests or even equity.”
“Even if this money is spent, it can still be counted as their own. It was nothing more than a form of conversion of assets. For example, if I have one hundred million dollars in cash and I spend fifty million US dollars to buy a luxury mansion in New York, I would have turned my total assets into fifty million US dollars in cash and fifty million US dollars in fixed assets...”
“Or if I were to exchange twenty million US dollars for a house, twenty million US dollars for stocks, twenty million US dollars for a twenty percent ownership of an oil well, twenty million US dollars for a painting by a famous painter, and then kept twenty million US dollars in cash as working capital, then even though I would have spent eighty million US dollars, I’m actually simply holding it in a different form, and there is the possibility of them increasing value in the future.”
After that, Charlie changed the subject and said again, “But what if I were to use eighty million US dollars out of the one hundred million US dollars to cultivate and train a group of unknown dead soldiers? Who would know that the eighty million US dollars have been converted into combat power? When other people measure my assets, they will think that I only have twenty million US dollars on hand. However, if I wanted to, these dead soldiers that I spent eighty million US dollars to train would be able to easily kill ten so-called wealthy people with one hundred million US dollars in assets.”
When Kathleen heard this, she thought of what had happened to Charlie’s grandparents’ family and suddenly came to a realization. She then said in horror, “I understand what you mean, Mr. Wade. You mean to say that there might be some top families who have already surpassed the stage of showing their strength by accumulating money. On the contrary, they might have transferred their large amount of funds into unexpectedly powerful combat power, right?”
