Ellinor seemed really friendly. She smiled and said, "Ms. Howard, could you tell me about how you saved Theo back in the day? Theo's getting on in years, so his memory's not what it used to be. Every time I ask him, he says he forgot the details. So why don't you fill me in?"
Theo was at a loss for words.
Getting on in years?
Sure, he was a bit older than she was, but he was not losing his marbles!
Ellinor's question made Patricia a bit evasive, "Uh... It's been a while; I can't remember a lot of the details."
Ellinor pretended to be disappointed and frowned, "Come on! Ms. Howard, didn't you just say you fell head over heels for Theo the first time you saw him? How could you forget such an important moment? Just spill whatever you can remember!"
After the previous conversation, Patricia realized she had better keep her mouth shut.
So, she pretended to be under pressure, blinking nervously, "Ellinor, are you worried that I have feelings for Theo beyond friendship and are warning me? Don't worry, I won't..."
Ellinor interrupted her with a smile, "What do I have to be afraid of? If there was a chance, you two would have been together by now. Would I even get a chance to butt in?"
Patricia's face darkened, continuing to act nervous, "Then what is this?"
