The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 2779

Nolan shook his head, dismissing the concern. "It's nothing, probably just my imagination."

Dahlia's heart had been thumping in her throat, and she quickly reassured him, "Let's go. Turns out no one's really paying attention to me after all. I told you, aside from my fans, nobody really knows who I am."

It wasn't until they were back in the car that Nolan let out a sigh of relief, cracking a smile. "One day you're going to be so famous, you won't be able to just pop out on the street like this."

Dahlia clutched a bag of chestnuts, though she didn't seem to want to eat them.

"Really? I'm kind of looking forward to that day."

"I thought you'd hate it. Always in the spotlight. Given your personality, I'd think you'd prefer your freedom. You're not even keen on interviews."

She hugged the bag tighter. "I don't mind interviews. It's just that I can't stand the reporters who come at me with nonsensical questions. They care more about gossip than my art. An interview with them is pointless."

"So, you chose Regina." The words slipped from Nolan's mouth, and Dahlia looked at him, surprised. "I didn't think you paid attention to my schedule."

"I've met her a couple of times because of her father. We got off on the wrong foot initially, just misunderstandings. She's straightforward, easy to get along with."

A sour feeling twisted in Dahlia's gut. This was the first time she'd heard Nolan speak so highly of another woman.
