Nolan had no plans to take their relationship to the next level. No matter what reasons Dahlia had back then, he couldn't accept what she'd done.
"No, please! I don't want us to become strangers! We could have been the most loving couple, yet because of a moment's folly, you still can't forgive me. But deep down, you still love me, don't you? Who else could be this close to you, and who else could share such intimacy?"
Dahlia searched Nolan's eyes in a panic, desperate to confirm she was the only one for him.
Yet Nolan coldly removed her hands from his waist, one finger at a time.
"Dahlia, you indeed hold a special place for me, but life is long, and you're not the only one who can fill it. You know what? When Regina got close to me last time, I didn't feel weird."
Nolan's serious tone wiped the smile off Dahlia's face. "What are you saying? Are you telling me you're getting involved with her? Remember how she made a scene at my show? Have you forgotten that?"
Nolan shook his head. "Didn't you just say the interview today went well?"
