The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 2605

These kidnappers were so brazen they didn't even bother to blindfold Elton. That alone was a chilling sign—they clearly had no intention of letting him walk out alive. Realizing this only deepened Elton's worry.

He was thrown into a room with Balfour and Victoria. When he caught sight of his daughter, safe and sound, he lunged towards her.

"Victoria!"

At first, Victoria, slumped in despair, thought she was hallucinating her father's voice. She straightened up, straining to listen.

"Am I going crazy, or did I just hear my dad?" she murmured to herself. Balfour, however, confirmed her hopes.

"You're not hearing things. Your dad's really here."

"Victoria." Elton called again, and this time Victoria's eyes welled up with tears.

"Dad, how did you get here? Are you going to get us out?"

The other kidnappers, overhearing this heartfelt reunion, chuckled at the doorway.

"Feeling shy now, are we? Your dad's just come to keep you company. You both might as well get comfy in this dump!"

As the door clicked shut, silence fell over the room again.
