The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 2467

"Stop! Please, Mr. Howard, I admit I was wrong—I swear I won't do it again. It wasn't on purpose; I just got confused, and my mind was clouded. How could I ever dare to cross you? I won't ever think of it again!"

Unlike Ivy, Balfour was a man of his word, a take-no-prisoners kind of guy. Without a second thought, he dialed 911.

Hearing Clara's pleas, he couldn't help but chuckle. "The trouble you're in is nothing but karma for your actions. Maybe next time, before you decide to stir up mischief, you'll think twice about whether you can handle the fallout!"

Clara knew begging this man was futile, so she quickly switched tactics. "If you call the cops, I'll just go online and continue to smear Ivy. You know, living under the same roof for years adds weight to my words. If you don't want to see your darling lady dragged through the mud, then you'd stop what you're doing!"

Balfour paused, sizing up the woman in front of him. She had more nerve than he'd given her credit for. But she seemed to have forgotten something—if he really wanted to, making sure she never worked in this town again would be a piece of cake. In his world, no one could intimidate him.

"Okay, I'm begging you, it's my bad this time. Just don't call the cops, and I promise I won't spread any more rumors online," Clara said, her voice twisted with the strain of her offer. She knew that crossing this man could spell the end of her career.

Not wanting the Dunhill family drama to affect Ivy any longer, Balfour decided not to escalate the situation. For now, he would leave it be.

Later, Balfour made a request to Margot to keep this dirty laundry away from Ivy.
