"I dunno," Ivy mumbled to herself, unsure if telling Alyssa about the whole thing had been the right call.
Alyssa was quick to act, sending Ivy a text in no time, reassuring her not to worry and that she was safely back home.
Ivy replied, [Alright. You get some rest now, goodnight.]
Dean was puzzled to see Alyssa rush back from Ivy's so hastily, especially since she had planned on staying the night.
"What's got you back so soon? Couldn't find comfort at Ivy's place? That place could use a makeover. You should've convinced her to come stay with us."
Alyssa waved her hand dismissively. "Ivy's got enough room for me, I'm sure. But I came back because there's something else afoot."
She was visibly fuming, which even got Dean a bit concerned.
"Has something happened?"
Alyssa snorted, "Ha, we must be getting senile in our old age, letting that woman wreak havoc under our roof!"
"What are you implying? Hasn't she been behaving herself lately?"
Dean poured Alyssa a cup of water, setting it down in front of her to cool.
