The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 2251

Kael had always thought of catching Thalia to be as easy as squashing a bug, but now she was proving to be more like a wild cat—small, unremarkable in appearance, darting in and out of shadows between the buildings.

His patience, initially abundant, was now running thin.

"Thalia? That's your name, right? If I were you, I'd come out now. Play nice, and maybe—just maybe—I might let you off the hook. But if you keep hiding, sweetheart, it's gonna be a whole different ball game. Trust me, you don't want to see me lose my cool," Kael called out, his voice a blend of mock concern and barely concealed threat.

Huddled next to a dingy dumpster, Thalia trembled uncontrollably, biting her lip to stifle the shakes. The man hunting her, Kael, had done unspeakable things under Diana's command, and now he was hell-bent on silencing her for good.

However, Thalia was determined not to go down without a fight.

"Margot, please hurry," she thought to herself, "I don't think I can hold out much longer."
