Elara nodded in agreement, then continued with a chuckle.
"We all love binge-watching the behind-the-scenes of your movie, but since you're still in the midst of filming, we're stuck replaying those leaked teasers over and over. The moment you woke up, the doctor immediately shared an update to our hospital's group chat, assuring everyone that you were safe and sound. Otherwise, who knows how many nurses might have fainted from worry!"
Ivy was somewhat incredulous. Could she really have amassed such a dedicated fan base already?
But Elara spoke with such conviction, it didn't seem like a falsehood.
After a moment of internal debate, Ivy conceded, "Tell them I'm doing well now, just resting up in the hospital. It shouldn't be long before I'm back on set."
Her words made Elara's smile widen, "We're all here at the hospital, probably more clued in about your health than you are. And there's a bunch of fans waiting to get your autograph once you're back on your feet."
Ivy grinned and nodded, "Sure."
She always tried to accommodate her fans' requests whenever she could.
After all, the relationship between fans and an actor resembles that of the moon and the stars. Without the stars, she would be a solitary entity in the sky; their presence keeps her from feeling isolated. Similarly, without the moon, the stars would lose their shine.
Ivy also enjoyed scrolling through her Twitter feed, catching glimpses of her fans’ lives, even if only in snippets.
Acting had brought her an immense amount of love, a feeling she had never experienced before.
The realization that someone she had never met could hold such affection for her, simply from watching her perform, was truly touching.
Elara nodded with a smile, "Time's almost up for me here. Why don't you close your eyes and rest a bit more? By the time you wake up, your husband should be back."
Obediently, Ivy closed her eyes, looking forward to the moment when she could open them to see Balfour, her steadfast protector, by her side again.
