The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 2213

Chapter 2213

Even though stirring up drama had tarnished her reputation within the production crew, Diana was not ready to walk away.

She knew sticking around meant a brighter future in the industry, but it seemed to escape her that not a soul on set wanted her there. A pang of regret gnawed at her; it was a classic case of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

If things were not properly mended, the movie would bomb at the box office once it. wrapped.

Online, the film would be tainted as the product of an oppressor’s making. Who would want to foot the bill for an oppressor’s work?

Colton was baffled. “I just can’t wrap my head around what you ladies are thinking. You stay, and you think I’ll still give you your scenes? Aren’t you scared I’ll cut you out completely?”

Diana replied with a smile, “I trust you would not. You’re a stickler for detail, and without -the supporting actress’s scenes, the pace and logic of the entire movie would suffer.”

The smiles on the faces of the director and producer evaporated.

Diana had them pegged – she knew just how much they prized the quality of their film.

“So, what do you want?” Colton asked.

Diana, smugly confident, thought she had the upper hand. “I’m not asking for much. I’m still the second lead. Let’s pretend none of this ever happened. Colton, we worked well together before, didn’t we?”

Their confusion was palpable. If that was all she wanted, why kick up a fuss in the first place? The crew had treated her just fine before this mess.

It was not until Diana continued that they finally came to a realization.

“But, I do have one condition. I want more screen time than the leading lady. Colton, you’ve always said you don’t play favorites. Whoever needs more screen time gets it, regardless of whether they’re the lead. So, just bump up my scenes over Ivy’s. Easy enough for you, right?”

Diana’s true desire was crystal clear: to overshadow Ivy.

Yet, Diana failed to recognize the gap between her and Ivy.

Colton could not help but scoff, “Ambitious as ever, huh? Think you can become the belle of the ball overnight? What does Ivy’s screen time have to do with you? No wonder you

along. Honestly,

Diana clenched her teeth. “What’s the difference between her and me? I’m a newbie, and so is she. Anything she can do, I can do better. If you want peace, just do as I say. The script’s been changing daily; rewriting it shouldn’t be a big deal.”
