Chapter 2132
In the corner where Clara couldn’t see, Giselle’s fists clenched tight.
Then, with a sudden burst, she erupted into laughter.
Giselle sidled up to Clara with a smile plastered on her face that made people feel unpleasant.
“Oh, sweetie, you’re so naive. Do you really think anyone would dare to leak your little story if I didn’t want it out there? You, on the other hand, with the mess you’re in, you really should think twice.”
She crossed her arms and looked down at Clara from her perch of superiority.
Giselle hadn’t planned on burning bridges; after all, Clara might still be of some value and perhaps could be used as a pawn against Ivy.
But Clara’s audacity had caught her off guard; her lofty ambitions were laughable as she tried to use her insignificant leverage against Giselle.
Since Clara had presented herself so unwittingly, how could Giselle simply let her off the hook?
“What do you want!? My family is innocent. Aren’t you afraid I’ll spill the beans if you do this?”
Clara’s eyes widened suddenly. She cared little for family ties, relying on them now only out of necessity.
If even her father and Tessa fell victim to Giselle’s schemes, she’d truly be left with nothing.
She’d be alone and defenseless.
And there Ivy was, with a man by her side who was everything Clara had never met.
Damn Ivy, living so carefree and easy!
Giselle raised an eyebrow, somewhat amused to discover Clara’s unexpected familial loyalty.
