Chapter 2129
Giselle’s spirits soared at the thought of never having Ivy standing between her and her leading man Balfour again.
Even the espresso on her lips seemed less bitter now.
As the shoot was about to start, and even Colton had hustled into the theatre, there was still no sign of Ivy.
Giselle casually inquired, “Where’s our lead actress? How come she’s not here yet?”
The crew members nearby craned their necks, searching.
Usually, Ivy would be perched on a stool with her script in hand at this time.
Something was off today.
“No clue, but there’s been no word of her calling in sick. Maybe she’s stuck in traffic?” someone suggested.
Giselle quickly sipped her coffee to hide the smirk she couldn’t contain.
“Maybe,” she mused.
It would be just perfect if that woman never showed up again. Then she, Giselle, could naturally take over the leading role in the movie. There was no one more suited for the part than her!
But Ivy was merely delayed by a traffic jam, nothing more.
When she stepped out of her SUV, the sight that greeted her was Giselle’s barely concealed grin.
Their eyes locked, and Giselle struggled to maintain her composure.
Why was she here again?
Hadn’t Clara sent some thugs to rough her up? How could she possibly show up on set unscathed without even a hint of distress? This was not what Giselle had envisioned!
