The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 2105

After snuffing out his cigarette, Raven turned toward Ivy with a sly grin creeping across his face, edging closer to her with calculated steps.

"Sweetheart, let's just say today's scuffle was a quirky twist of fate, right? But don't you think a million bucks is a bit on the low side? Maybe that amount could be... Nudged upward?"

Ivy had seen this coming from miles away.

"Look, big guy, you can skip the small talk. Money's no object; I can offer you a better deal, but I've got a few conditions," Ivy cut him off, assertive and straight to the point.

Raven did not get ruffled; he just nodded, showing a rare glimpse of patience. "Lay it on me. If your terms are fair, we're game. My crew and I are out here hustling for a fat stack of cash. Whatever you need, consider it done!"

Ivy stated, "First, you don't lay a finger on me. That's non-negotiable and, frankly, for your own good. I've got a condition I'd rather not talk about. With the dough I'm offering, you'll have no trouble finding other women. You wouldn't want to catch anything, would you?"

The buzz-cut man nodded in agreement. "Rest easy on that score; we wouldn't dream of adding complications to our lives."

Raven rapped on the bed frame. "Alright, let's hear the rest of your demands."

"Second," Ivy locked eyes with him. "I've already mentioned it. I want the person who put you up to this kidnapping to be delivered to me. The money's negotiable."

Raven and the buzz-cut man exchanged a glance. That was it? Ivy's demands were surprisingly reasonable.

"Aren't you scared we'll take your cash and ditch you?" Raven asked.

Ivy smirked. "I'm already trapped here; what more is there to fear? You work for money, and I can give you more. Why wouldn't you take the offer? I'm sure my requests are well within your wheelhouse."

Ivy just wanted to ensure her safety and find out who was behind this.

The buzz-cut man stood back, listening to the boss haggle with Ivy. Though he thought a million was already a hefty sum, money was money—the more, the merrier, right?

"I can handle that broad easy peasy," he boasted brashly. "I'll drag her here myself!"
