The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1901

Ivy sighed heavily as she stared at the brimming shot glass before her. With a grimace, she tipped her head back and forced the liquid down her throat.

The moment the fiery whiskey hit her stomach, a wave of nausea surged to her throat. Unable to hold back, Ivy hunched over a nearby trash can and heaved violently.

"Cough, cough..."

"Are you okay, Ivy?" Clara feigned concern as she plopped down beside her sister, her eyes betraying a hint of disgust. "You really look unwell, Ivy. I've booked us a room at the hotel. Let me take you there to rest up a bit."

"Okay..." Ivy mumbled, dazed and compliant as Clara helped her to her feet.

Clara supported Ivy to the hotel bar upstairs on the twentieth floor. Just as they stepped out of the elevator, Clara's phone buzzed with urgency.

As a struggling actress on the fringe of fame, Ivy couldn't afford to ignore her agent's calls.

"Hey! Ivy, my agent needs me urgently. Here's your key card, just head to the room and I'll be right there after I deal with this!" Clara said in a rush, thrusting the key card into Ivy's hand before darting off.

"Why's it so hot in here?" Ivy mumbled, using the wall for support as she staggered forward, her vision beginning to blur.

She squinted at the key card, "2006..."

With the last bit of her consciousness, she stumbled toward room 2006. But after several attempts, the card wouldn't open the door.

"What kind of crappy door is this?" Ivy muttered, kicking at it in frustration. To her surprise, the door swung open!
