When Bertha and Lea arrived at the hotel, Thaddeus had just received the news of Sophia's arrest and was on his way out to rescue her.
Upon opening the door, Bertha and Lea blocked the entrance.
Thaddeus paused. "Bertha, you're back? Is your best friend discharged from the hospital? Never mind, I have something to handle. Take Lea in first, and we'll talk when I get back."
Bertha frowned. "Where are you going? Are you planning on bailing out that ruthless daughter of yours?"
After hearing this, Thaddeus stopped and stared at his wife. "You have already known that?"
Bertha grumbled, "She's done such a heinous act! Why are you bailing her out? If you do, she won't realize her mistake, and she will feel even more invincible! She’ll just keep doing as she pleases!"
Thaddeus rubbed his temples. "Bertha, Sophia might be a bit willful, but she's not as outrageous as you claim. This time, I suspect she was framed by that Ellinor, so I need to get her out."
Bertha exhaled in frustration. "Framed by who? Ellinor acted within the bounds of the law, but what about your daughter? She threw sulfuric acid at her! That's acid, not tap water! She clearly intended to harm Ellinor! This is the work of your precious daughter! And yet, you still intend to rescue her?! If you save her this time, next she might commit murder!"
Thaddeus was speechless. "But..."
