The four little ones paused and then looked at each other. Understanding the situation, they covered their eyes with their tiny hands and shouted in unison.
"We can't see anything!"
"We can't see anything!"
"We can't see anything!"
"We can't see anything!"
Ellinor also turned back to look at her four children, then cast a disgruntled look at Theo. "What are you doing? Are you going to show them a magic trick or...mmph?!"
Before she could finish her complaint, her chin was lifted and her lips were captured.
Ellinor blushed and tried to push him away, but Theo didn't let her go. Instead, he held the back of her head, letting his overwhelming longing explode in that moment.
The four little ones peeked through their fingers, giggling at the sight of their mommy being kissed.
In the end, Theo kissed Ellinor until she cried. Only then did he let her go, pecking her moist lips as he said, "Baby girl, I'm back."
Ellinor was breathing heavily, and her rosy cheeks were streaked with tears. She rubbed her eyes as she yelled, "You... you're shameless! I... I don't want to talk to you right now! Drive home!"
Her rare display of shyness amused Theo. She was always so adorable.
"As you wish, my love."
With that, the car engine roared back to life, and they were on the road again.
It wasn't the kiss that made Ellinor blush, but the embarrassment of crying in front of her children. She didn't explain anything to them and just turned to look out the window, sorting through her jumbled thoughts.
While driving the car, Theo glanced at his kids in the rear-view mirror. "Alright, you can look now." He said gently.
