The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1769

Belinda's cheeks flushed a vibrant pink. "What are you doing? Ms. Gipson and Ellinor are right here! Let go of me; behave yourself!"

Chase flashed her a cheeky grin. "It's alright. They're practically family. Have you picked out your wedding dress yet? Can I see?"

Belinda struggled to free herself from his grip. "Stop messing around!"

Ida glanced at Chase with an expression of nonchalance, then turned her attention back to Ellinor, heading over for a chat with her.

Chase, undeterred, carried on. "See? Ida knows when to give us space. No third wheeling for her."

Belinda was mortified. "I knew I shouldn't have let you come!"

...

Ellinor didn't pay much attention to Chase and Belinda's intimate banter. Instead, she chose to catch up with Ida about the recent happenings within Thaddeus' company. As they chatted, her cell phone buzzed.

Checking the screen, she saw an unknown number.

Normally, Ellinor wouldn't answer unidentified calls, but she feared it might be him using a different number, so she picked up without hesitation.

However, it wasn't a man's voice on the other end of the line, but a young girl's familiar tone. "Is this Ellinor?"

Ellinor furrowed her brows as she tried to recognize the voice. "Mmm, it's me."

The girl, Lea, spoke, "Ellinor, do you remember me? I'm Lea! You saved my mom. You're her angel! We met in the restroom of that restaurant."

By now, Ellinor had already identified the voice, so she wasn't surprised.
