Sophia crossed her arms defensively. "So what? He doesn't remember you now, and he's not going back with you!"
Ellinor arched an eyebrow. "Wanna bet?"
As she turned to walk towards Marcus, Sophia grabbed her arm. "What the hell do you think you're doing? Stay away from my husband!"
"Are you scared, Sophia? I thought you were so sure he wouldn't remember me or want to go with me."
Sophia's face darkened, and her grip on Ellinor's arm tightened. "He's my husband now. I have every right to keep other women away from him!"
...
While the women were arguing several yards away, Marcus and Bartlett were locked in a quiet standoff.
Seeing Theo reappear caught Bartlett off guard. He squinted and gave him a small nod. "Theo, long time no see."
Marcus' icy gaze was unreadable, and his tone matched Bartlett’s. "Do I know you?"
Bartlett gave him a half-smile. "Full-blown amnesia, huh?"
Marcus remained impassive as his gaze shifted towards Ellinor and Sophia.
Bartlett followed his gaze. "We've all been worried about you these past few years. But it seems you've been doing quite well for yourself. You even started a family."
A flicker of sarcasm passed through Marcus' eyes. "Who's 'we'?"
