The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1736

"Really, Dad?"

Marcus gave his son a gentle yet firm look. "Yes, really."

With a blink of his eyes, Tristan squinted and blinked again.

"Dad, I think I'm hallucinating. I've missed Ellinor so much that I think I see her here."

After hearing his son say this, Marcus paused and followed his son's incredulous gaze. Suddenly, his pupils contracted.

His son was not mistaken. It wasn't an illusion; it was her.

Ellinor was standing over there, talking with a man while admiring the scenery. They were neither too close nor too far apart, and their banter hinted at a deep familiarity.

Marcus recognized him from his regained memories. It was Bartlett.

The guy had once had designs on Ellinor, and now he was trying to take advantage of her while he was away.

Marcus's eyes turned cold in an instant, and he began emanating a chilling aura.

"Marcus, Tristan, what are you two looking at? Do you want some water?"

Sophia came over with two bottles of mineral water for them. After hearing Sophia's voice, Marcus forced himself to look away and returned to his usual cold and aloof demeanor.

He took the water that Sophia handed him, unscrewed the cap, and drank a few hearty gulps. "Thanks."

Sophia smiled and opened the remaining bottle. "Here, Tristan, let Mom give you some water."
