The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1709

After a day and a night of relentless searching, Thaddeus finally discovered where his wife and daughter had taken refuge, and without a moment's hesitation, he raced to their location.

He found the place where Bertha and their daughter were staying and rang the doorbell.

The bell echoed for a moment before the sound of footsteps could be heard from inside. "Hello."

It was Lea's voice.

Assuming that it was the pizza she had ordered, Lea rushed to the door. But upon opening it, she was greeted by the stern face of her father.

Lea froze for a second before promptly slamming the door shut.

"Lea..."

Thaddeus couldn't even finish calling out his daughter's name before he was left standing outside. His face darkened even more, but he took a deep breath to suppress his anger and rang the doorbell again.

This time, however, no one came to open the door.

Upon seeing Thaddeus' increasingly gloomy expression, his men began to grow uneasy. "Boss, should we just kick the door down?"

Thaddeus shook his head. "No. She hates that. You guys can wait outside."

"Got it!" His men nodded and left.

Thaddeus sighed and continued to press the doorbell, convinced that they couldn't possibly keep him out forever.

Twenty minutes passed, and nothing changed.

Thaddeus' patience was wearing thin.
