The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1642

Marcus' lips curled into a subtle grin. "Even though I don't remember, human instinct never lies. I still feel a pull towards her."

Lea appeared bemused. "Marcus, you've got great taste. Even if you can't remember the lovely lady, you managed to resist Sophia's charms for all these years. I admire you for that."

Marcus smirked. "Thanks for the compliment. I'll need you to keep quiet about what just happened when your parents and Sophia return."

Lea nodded. "No worries. I'm on your side now."

Thaddeus and his wife, Bertha, found the private dining room their daughter mentioned on the second floor.

However, all they found was a waiter cleaning up leftovers.

The waiter informed them that the guests had finished their meal and left.

Thaddeus and Bertha couldn't help but feel disappointed. They had hoped their daughter was right, even if she had mistaken someone else for their long-lost savior. They wanted to at least see who she had mistaken her for.

In the end, they saw nothing.

Sophia, who came up after them, sighed in disappointment. "Dad, Bertha, everyone left. Did Lea make us come up here for nothing? Was this some sort of prank?"

Bertha immediately shook her head. "No, Lea wouldn't lie on purpose."

Sophia frowned. "Bertha, you need to stop spoiling Lea. This will only encourage her to lie more and cause bigger problems."
