The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1611

She wasn't really trying to prevent these two from being together; she was just worried that Belinda would get her heart broken by Chase again.

Chase was her childhood friend. Naturally, she trusted his integrity as a friend, but as a man, Chase was far from being a decent guy.

She turned to face Belinda, who was a bit naive, and said seriously, "Belinda, if you've decided to give this guy another chance, then I won't say anything more. I wish you both the best. But remember, if he ever hurts you again, come see me first. I'll take care of him."

Belinda was deeply touched. She stood up, walked past Chase, and gave her a big hug. "Ellinor, you're just too good to me. Even with my uncle gone, you still treat me like family. It's so touching! Oh, Ellinor..."

Ellinor, uncomfortable with the close contact, laughed awkwardly and pulled away, pushing Belinda into the arms of her soon-to-be husband. She took a step back, placing a bit of distance between them.

"Alright! You two go and prepare for your wedding. I'll be there with the kids."

Belinda nodded. "Ellinor, when I think about it, this will be the second time you've attended my wedding. I'm so touched, but also a bit sad. Last time, during my failed wedding, you and my uncle were still together. Now, he's..."

The mention of her uncle brought a wave of sadness as well as sympathy for Ellinor.

She thought Ellinor had it rough. She was still foolishly waiting for her uncle to return.

They all thought he would never come back.

Sigh…

Ellinor didn't say anything. In the past, if someone mentioned that man in front of her, she might feel a wave of sadness too.
