Adrian watched his newly acquired painting being taken back with confusion. He cast a puzzled look at Lea. "Aunty, you promised me the painting. Why are you taking it back?"
Lea rolled her eyes at him, her tone sharp. "I did promise you the painting, but I never said you could give it to Sophia."
She detested Sophia, who was unworthy of owning a painting by her mentor.
Adrian looked rather wronged. "But Mommy isn't..."
He cut his sentence off midway and swallowed back abruptly.
He couldn't reveal his true identity since it would get his handsome dad in trouble.
Never mind, he would find a way to get Mommy to buy the painting from Aunty Lea in the future.
Lea waited for 'Tristan' to finish his sentence. "Well, your mommy isn't what?"
Adrian shook his head. "Nothing; you're right, Aunty. I shouldn't re-gift your painting. I won't take the painting. You should focus on your homework. I'm going back to find my dad."
Upon seeing the little guy's dejected look, Lea felt incredible guilt wash over her and called him back. "Hey! Wait..."
Adrian turned around. "What is it, Aunty? Is there anything else?"
Lea took out the painting again and handed it to him. "Fine, take it!"
Adrian looked surprised and accepted the painting. He looked at her with some confusion. "Aunty, are you really giving it to me this time?"
Lea nodded. "Yes, it's yours! Give it to whoever you like. I don't care!"
Adrian grinned. "Thank you, Aunty!"
