Ida couldn't help but laugh at him. "Can't keep up the mature act, huh? Showing your true colors now?"
Instead of getting flustered as he usually did, Byran moved in closer, his voice almost a whisper as he said, "Why would I pretend with you?"
Ida pushed his face away. "Alright! Let's go! Let's grab some food!"
Byran squinted his eyes. "Are you asking me out for a meal?"
Ida raised an eyebrow. "What else? Do you expect me to go with someone else?"
Byran smirked. "Now that's more like it! As a reward for your good sense, I'll treat you to lunch today."
Ida prodded his shoulder with her finger. "Then why are you still blocking my way?"
Only then did Byran move aside, giving her space to move.
After adjusting her attire, Ida headed towards the door, with Byran following her, hands in pockets.
As they walked out of the office, they bumped into Chase, who had come to find Ida. "What's for lunch, Ida?"
Only after asking did he notice Byran following Ida. His expression changed to one of amusement. "Oh! Are you two heading out on a date?"
Ida rolled her eyes at him. "Do you want to join us?"
Chase smiled. "Can I? I won't be a third wheel, right?"
Ida, understanding Chase's underlying meaning, dismissed it with a wave of her hand. "The more, the merrier. Let's go!"
Chase raised an eyebrow, but his gaze was aimed at Byran. “Then I'll tag along for the free meal.”
