The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1532

So that was Bartlett's hidden agenda.

Upon hearing Bartlett's ulterior motive, Ellinor didn't feel repulsed. On the contrary, she felt a sense of relief.

She was more afraid that Bartlett would harbor romantic intentions towards her than any business-related motives.

In a way, this was better.

Bartlett had genuinely helped her in the past, and she hadn't forgotten that. She couldn't reciprocate his feelings, but she had told him that if he ever needed help, she would extend a helping hand.

Now that Bartlett was asking for a favor, she didn't want to refuse.

However, this wasn't a decision she could make alone. It would require a shareholders' meeting at the Blanchet Corporation.

"I'll consider your proposal." She told him. "When I have time, I'll visit your land. If we can collaborate, I'll try my best to make it happen."

Bartlett nodded with a smile. "Thanks in advance, Ellinor. You have no idea how much of a headache that land has been. A partnership with the Blanchet Corporation would solve a huge problem for me."

"Don't thank me too soon." Ellinor warned. "I've only promised to try my best. The final decision isn't mine to make."

Bartlett grinned at her through the rear-view mirror. "I understand. Just the fact that you're willing to help is enough for me. The result isn't the most important thing."

Ellinor caught his hopeful gaze in the rear-view mirror and quickly avoided it, turning her gaze out the car window.

"Keep your eyes on the road." She ordered.
