The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1496

Tristan pondered for a moment before saying, "Sure, when I'm ready to leave, I'll let you meet my dad. But you have to promise me that you won't reveal to Mom that I'm not Adrian in the next few days."

"Deal!" Layla agreed readily. After all, she had no evidence to prove this little boy was not Adrian.

But this boy looked exactly like her brother.

Could his father be...?

Ellinor and Baber brought up a bunch of snacks. They were all from the batch that Balfour had bought for the three kids last time. Fearing that the kids would develop cavities from eating too many snacks, she had locked most of them away, keeping them safe from the three little snack thieves and only offering them as rewards.

Today was special. There was some unpleasantness between the three little ones, so she decided to let them indulge a bit. Eating their favorite snacks would surely distract them from today's discourse.

...

Early the next morning, Ellinor dropped the kids off at kindergarten and headed straight to the office.

Just as she was about to open her office door, her secretary stood up to give her a report. "Ms. Mendoza, a gentleman came looking for you this morning. I asked him to wait in the lounge."

A gentleman? Ellinor quirked an eyebrow. "Was it Bartlett Rex?"

The secretary shook her head. "No, it wasn't Mr. Rex. I don't recognize the gentleman."

The secretary had only been with the company for a few months and didn't recognize some people. But she knew Bartlett, and if she said it wasn't him, then it definitely wasn't.

If it wasn't Bartlett, then who could it be?

Who would come to the office this early in the morning to see her?

Ellinor nodded. "Okay, got it. Make me a cup of coffee; I'll be in the lounge shortly."
