The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1491

Huh? So where was the driver supposed to go?

Ida knitted her brows. She was just about to give him a piece of her mind when she felt a tickling sensation on her leg.

After looking down, she saw Bryan gently grazing her leg beneath the hem of her skirt with his long fingers. His touch was light. It was like he was barely there.

Ida swatted his hand away, whispering, "Stop acting so lewd!"

Once his hand was swatted away, Bryan simply chuckled. His hand landed solidly on her leg again, and he turned his head to the driver's seat. "Hey driver, could you lower the privacy screen for me? Ms. Gipson and I have some confidential business matters to discuss."

The driver looked stunned and glanced back at Ida for confirmation.

Knowing Bryan was up to his old tricks again and not wanting to embarrass the innocent driver, Ida nodded, signaling for him to do as Bryan asked.

The driver then lowered the privacy screen.

Now, the back seat was a secluded space, occupied by only Ida and Bryan.

Bryan became even bolder. He lifted Ida into his lap as his hand rested on her slender, pale legs again.

"You're so pale. Even without stockings."

Ida was taken by surprise but didn't panic or struggle. She adjusted her slightly askew glasses and calmly looked at him. "What do you think you're doing?"

Bryan's gaze left her legs and rose to her face. "Nothing; I just wanted to hold you. Ida, you're still the same as always. You haven't lost weight or gained any."

Ida smirked. "Bryan, don't you have a girlfriend? Is this how you treat them?"

Bryan laughed. "I just dumped her. I realized I still prefer mature women like you, Ida. From now on, I'll only be loyal to you, okay?"

Ida couldn't help but laugh. "Bryan, you want to play games with me? Are you sure you can handle it?"
