The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1471

"Adrian! Where are you? If you don't show yourself soon, Mom is going to show you what tough love is!"

A cold shiver ran down Adrian's spine, and his hair stood on end.

He could tell by the tone of his mother's voice that she was beyond furious.

A child's instinct kicked in, and without thinking, Adrian retreated back into the bathroom stall, quickly closing and locking the door.

He was terrified.

His mother's voice was undoubtedly filled with rage. If he were found at this point, he'd certainly get a spanking.

After watching his son retreat back into the stall as if he'd seen a ghost, Marcus furrowed his brows in confusion. What's wrong with the boy now?

Then a woman's voice came from outside the restroom.

"Excuse me, is anyone in there?"

Marcus turned his head towards the restroom entrance but saw no one.

Perhaps respecting privacy, the woman stood outside the door and did not peek in.

The woman's voice seemed familiar to Marcus, but his son's odd behavior was more puzzling, so he didn't pay much attention to the woman's voice.

Getting no response, the woman called out again. "If there's anyone inside, please make a noise. If no one responds in ten seconds, I'll assume it's empty, and I’ll need to come in to find someone.”

Marcus, having amnesia and limited interaction with the outside world, had no reaction to things that didn’t concern him. Even though he heard the woman, he made no sound.

“Well, I’m coming in.” The woman announced, and indeed, she stepped inside.

Upon entering the men’s restroom, Ellinor saw a man sitting in a wheelchair with his back facing the door, and not far in front of him was a urinal.

Instinctively, assuming the man was preparing to relieve himself, she quickly averted her gaze.
