Veronica's face was all scrunched up. "See! I knew you guys weren't keeping a close enough eye on things. Our people haven't noticed anything unusual at Thaddeus International Corporation either, nor have we heard anything about Sophia getting married and having a child. So, I found it very peculiar. Any normal girl, if she gets married, would want the whole world to know and witness her happiness. But Sophia has been oddly secretive. She's hiding something; I can feel it!"

Ida was more cautious. "If she really wanted to hide it, why would she bring the child back here? And run into the boss so easily? It doesn't make sense, does it?"

Veronica retorted. "How should I know? I came to you so you guys could investigate what Sophia is up to. Check out her husband and child too. Try to get some photos and detailed information if possible. I don't want to stir things up at our end yet. My grandparents are old; they can't handle the shock."

Ida nodded. "Don't worry, I'll definitely have someone look into it and keep you posted."

Veronica fretted. "If there's any bad news, I'd rather you don't tell Ellinor. I suspect that the child Sophia was holding is the first child Ellinor gave birth to, but she still doesn't know that she had triplets that day. If we can't find that child, I want her to never find out."

Ida adjusted her glasses. "Rest assured. We care about her feelings even more than you do."

Veronica seemed a bit relieved. "Alright, then you dispatch someone to investigate as soon as possible. Now that Sophia is back, we can handle her if anything happens. Once she flies back to M State, we won't have as much control."

Ida conceded. "Understood."

Having made her request to Ida, Veronica turned to leave, planning to head home.

She was still quite worried about her sister-in-law. Seeing Sophia today must have stirred up a lot of old memories and caused her distress.

She wanted to rush home to comfort her sister-in-law and keep her from dwelling on it.

She hoped Ida could find some clues this time. She had always suspected that Sophia was the one who had trapped her brother.

But how could a man like her brother be trapped by someone like Sophia?
