The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1419

When the nurse carried the babies away, Bryan, who had been quietly standing by the side, peered curiously at his tiny niece and nephew, finding them irresistibly adorable.

Ellinor, after bidding farewell to the nurses, turned her attention to Bryan, asking, "Where's your brother? Why are you alone?"

"I heard you were rushed to the hospital, so I came straight here. I haven't seen my brother."

Ellinor was too spent to probe further and simply replied with a "hmm."

Bryan moved closer to Ellinor. His face was serious as he spoke her praises. "Ellinor, I must say, you're quite something. Delivering twins in one go is a heck of an achievement."

Ellinor managed a wry smile. "Well, thank you."

Bryan, unaware of the situation, glanced around the room, looking puzzled. "Where's Theo? Isn't he here?"

At the mention of Theo, Ellinor's pale face turned sour, and she scoffed. "Who knows where he's gone off to?"

Bryan furrowed his brows and expressed his disapproval. "You're giving birth, and Theo's not here? He is the father, after all. That's pretty irresponsible."

Ellinor's expression darkened further.

Ida regretted letting him in. She cleared her throat, walked over, and tried to hush him. "Alright, she needs to rest. You need to stop prying."

Bryan, as if electrocuted, immediately sidestepped Ida's touch and moved further away from her.

Ida paused. Bryan's seemingly repulsed reaction took her by surprise. He was usually more than happy to engage in physical contact with her.

Bryan could feel Ida's probing gaze and became irritated. "Ahem! Ellinor, you take care. I'll step out. I'm not sure what women need after childbirth. If you need anything to eat or drink, let me know, and I can get it for you."

Ellinor nodded. "Alright, thanks. Nothing for now."

Bryan didn't press further and exited the room.

Even after he left, Ida's gaze lingered on the door.
