The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1396

At the lady's command, several people went forward to lift Theo and take him for treatment.

Seeing this, Sophia also broke free from her father's control and followed them out.

Bertha, not feeling at ease, followed them as well.

If things got serious, it was not going to be good. The Blanchet family was no pushover, and Malloy, with his fiery temper, once enraged, would recklessly do anything.

Thaddeus snorted as he watched his wife and eldest daughter anxiously follow Theo.

Accidentally, he looked down and saw his younger daughter, Lea, still there, hugging her favorite teddy bear.

Thaddeus felt a warm feeling in his heart. His little girl was so thoughtful. She knew to stay and keep her dad company.

Thaddeus bent down and spread his arms. "Lea, come on. Daddy will take you for ice cream."

Lea stepped back, glaring at him unhappily and pouting. "You're a big meanie!"

Thaddeus was taken aback and felt slightly hurt. "Lea, how could you say that about me? It hurts me. I was just helping your sister. That man was bullying your sister, and I would never allow anyone to bully you or your sister."

Lea still stared at him. "Daddy, you're too violent! I don't like you!"

Thaddeus sighed. "It's okay. You're still young, and you don't quite understand these things yet. When you grow up, you'll naturally understand. Come on, while Mom's not here, let's go for your favorite vanilla ice cream and see if you still think I'm mean."

Lea still refused to accept her father's invitation. Her cheeks were flushed as she said, "Other dads are gentle, but my dad is violent. My classmates are afraid of me, and they don't play with me."

Thaddeus' face darkened. "Who? Who doesn't want to play with my Lea? Tell me, and I'll go talk to their parents tomorrow. I’ll tell them to teach their kids properly!"

Lea, holding her teddy bear, stubbornly turned around. "I don't want you to go to my kindergarten! I won't be able to make friends then! You really are a big meanie!"

With that, she ran off to find her mom.
