Theo walked up to Thaddeus calmly, exuding a powerful aura. His face was serious, yet he managed to maintain a humble and polite demeanor.
"Mr. Thaddeus, I'm Theo. Your daughter and I are just friends, so your previous way of addressing me was incorrect. Please, just call me Theo."
Thaddeus smirked with a hint of annoyance. “Incorrect? You and my daughter are already legally married. If you're not my son-in-law, then who is?”
“Sophia and I got the marriage certificate only to convince my father to accept surgery. This was a mutual agreement between your daughter and me. The agreement clearly states that the marriage certificate is only to appease the older folks at home, nothing more. Once all is done, we'll choose a date to annul the certificate.”
As Theo finished speaking, he gave a slight nod.
Then Collin stepped forward and handed the agreement to Thaddeus.
Thaddeus glanced at the agreement. His face was stern, and he did not take it.
Theo continued, “If you have any displeasure with this agreement, feel free to voice your conditions. As long as it's reasonable, I'll do my best to meet them, and I'm willing to compensate Sophia as much as possible.”
Collin offered the agreement to Thaddeus again. “Mr. Thaddeus, please take a look at this agreement.”
Thaddeus didn't look. He swatted the agreement away and scoffed, “You think my daughter needs your compensation?!”
Theo's expression didn't waver at Thaddeus's reaction. He calmly asked, “So, Mr. Thaddeus, what are your thoughts? Don’t hold back.”
