Craig had just finished his sentence when Aurora claimed she felt nothing, but that wasn't entirely true.
It was just for a moment, though.
"I'm really busy. Tell Elijah that when I have time, I'll take him to the amusement park myself."
Aurora reasoned that at her son's age, there wasn't much he could enjoy there, so she focused all her energy on her art studio for now.
"Didn't you get what I meant?" Craig asked.
"I did."
Suddenly, there was silence from Craig's end.
After a few seconds of quiet, Aurora spoke up, "Do you have anything else to discuss?"
"No, that's all."
"Okay, then I'm hanging up."
She didn't give Craig any chance to say another word and ended the call right then and there.
In Aurora's world, from the moment she decided to divorce Craig, everything between them was over. Except for their son, Elijah, there was no reason for any contact.
Today, when Felicity had mentioned Craig having a new girlfriend, Aurora could understand why Felicity was upset. From an outsider's perspective, Craig's success seemed largely due to the Lopez family's support. Yet, after the divorce, he was the one who found someone new first.
Felicity felt it was unfair to Aurora.
But Aurora didn't see it that way.
When Craig found out she was the Lopez family's heiress, he had suggested breaking up; it was Aurora who insisted on staying together, persuading him to reconcile.
