The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 492

Wilton's move turned Ava as pale as a sheet. She didn't expect him to show his displeasure so openly. Before this, she only saw Wilton as a capricious, pleasure-loving young man, splurging his family's money and chasing skirts all over the place. But right now, she felt an icy chill from Wilton's gaze that sent shivers down her spine.

"Alright, I'll report to Mina about Mr. Frances’s situation truthfully," Ava said as she turned to leave. She cast a glance at Daisy, "Ms. Daisy, you stay here and take good care of Mr. Frances."

Although Daisy wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, she got the picture. She was being played by Ava and Mina. On the surface, it seemed like Mina asked Ava to take her to the hospital to visit Frances, but in reality, she was pushing her into the lion's den. Seeing her with Ava, Wilton and his gang would surely think she was one of Mina's minions and start suspecting her.

Daisy caught Wilton's piercing look and knew that any explanation would be like flogging a dead horse. "Mr. Wilton, I want to go in and see Frances..."

Wilton moved a step closer, his figure looming over Daisy.

Daisy instinctively stepped back. The man was closing in on her. Her back hit the wall.

"Mr. Wilton, what are you doing?"

Wilton punched the wall next to Daisy, causing her to shriek and close her eyes. But the expected pain didn't come. She remembered the call Wilton made to her in the wee hours, realizing he must despise her now. She opened her eyes and met Wilton's icy, angry gaze, "I'm not with Mina."

"Hmph, save it," he scoffed, his voice low, "You think I would believe you?" His other hand gripped her chin tightly, "I'm telling you, if anything happens to my brother, I won't let you or the Santos family get away scot-free."
