Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1167

When Conner started talking about his godson, he felt that familiar itch. "Hey, Andre, mind if I borrow your kid for a bit? I'm planning to take Annie out for dinner tonight."

"He's at home, just swing by and pick him up."

So, reliable old Henry, who was all set for a nap, found himself buckled into the passenger seat by his godfather. Off they went to the police station.

Henry was back at the precinct he knew so well. Conner, who hadn’t looked after a kid in ages, forgot that once you put a toddler down, they're gone in a flash. The moment Henry’s feet hit the ground, he took off towards his uncle’s office, his little voice ringing out, "Woo hoo woo hoo!" as he ran.

Conner: "Wait... Hey, kiddo, where are you off to?"

Hearing the commotion, Donnie pushed open the window and peered into the yard, calling back into his office, "Boss, there’s an adorable little munchkin in the yard shouting 'woo hoo' and running over here."

Chad paused, instantly recognizing his babbling nephew. He dropped what he was doing and headed outside.

Donnie chuckled, leaning against the window sill to watch the show.

"Chad, who is it?"

Donnie replied, "That's Andre's darling kid, the boss's favorite nephew, and our precinct's youngest 'regular'."

So, a bunch of them gathered at the window, eyes glued to the scene outside.

The little charmer was already scooped up by his godfather. With a determined pout, he insisted on finding his uncle. "Henry."

"Woo hoo!"
