Reconnecting with Seth, Hansen called for a moment of quiet, "Hey folks, settle down a bit. Oddly enough, I think I can still hear my little grandson crying."
As everyone hushed, Henry was darting around like a whirlwind, the first to catch sight of his grandpa. From the yard, he hollered, "Grandpa!"
Hansen turned and squinted, "Well, I'll be! It really is my little buddy!"
Forgetting all about his cane and the act that went with it, Hansen made a beeline to scoop up his grandson.
Finally wrapped in family warmth, Henry snuggled into his grandpa's arms. With a gentle hand, Hansen wiped away his tears, "There, there, my little champ. Give grandpa a big ol' kiss."
Despite the tears, Henry puckered up and planted a sweet kiss on his grandpa's cheek, drawing envious glances from nearby onlookers.
Hansen, basking in a strange pride, couldn't help but brag, "Ah, this is just how we roll. Every morning, before heading to work or school, everyone has to give our little guy a hug."
Henry clung to his grandpa's neck, wishing he could stay away from this strange place forever.
As Mia stepped outside, Hansen's sharp eyes caught her, "Hey, Mia! You're here too!"
Mia quipped, "Dad, even if Henry sprouted wings, he'd still need GPS to find his way here."
Just before leaving the Hernandez place, Mia turned to Aimee, "Does your husband adore you?"
Aimee nodded, "I'm his precious gem. How about you?"
Mia grinned, "I'm his number one."
"If they start grilling us, we'll just..."
Mia nodded, "Exactly, just like that."
