Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1138

Naomi had caught wind that her sister-in-law was jetting off to attend a fancy banquet overseas. Since Naomi ran her own coffee shop and had a good grasp of the coffee scene, she casually suggested, “Mia, I heard there's this buzzing coffee joint called ‘Crowd Coffee’ over in L City. The baristas there are supposed to be top-notch. You should definitely give it a shot while you're there.”

Mia nodded, taking the advice to heart.

Meanwhile, the Smiths were missing their grandson something fierce, so they decided to bring little Henry back home for a visit. In the midst of catching up, they got wind of their daughter's travel plans. Madison, ever the concerned mom, voiced her worries, “It's already halfway through the year, and with exams looming at the end, aren’t you feeling the heat?”

Andre jumped in to defend his wife, “Mom, everyone needs a break now and then. Mia's been running around non-stop this year, and she deserves a breather. A few days away to recharge, and she'll be back, ready to hit the books.”

Madison pressed on, “But Andre, what if she doesn't pass this year?”

Andre, ever supportive, shrugged it off, “If she doesn’t, it’s not the end of the world. I’ve got her back, no matter what.”

Andre made it a point to keep things stress-free for Mia, letting her dive into her studies without any undue pressure.

After this, Andre glanced at Mia, noticing her growing anxiety. She was in the thick of prepping for her grad exams and felt she should be all in.

Later, while Mia was busy giving their son a bath, Andre took a moment to chat with his in-laws. “Mom, Dad, let's ease up on Mia a bit. She might seem laid-back, but she’s got a lot on her mind. Even if she doesn’t say it, she’s feeling the weight of it all.”

With the grandparents already pitching in by looking after Henry, Mia had more space to focus on her studies. Andre had been making sure she was well-fed and chauffeured around. Everyone knew she was gearing up for her exams. Last year’s miss was her first try, and if things don’t pan out this year, she’d be hard on herself. It’s a tough game, with the added challenge of juggling family life. Let’s not pile on. There’s always next year if it comes to that.”
