Andre leaned back in his chair, looking relaxed, and said, "Looks like the Dark Web wants to take me on."
The more laid-back Andre seemed, the more tense Noah became. "Boss, wouldn't just firing him tip them off?"
Andre's smile was icy. "Firing him? No, we'll make it so he can't ever show his face again."
Noah was confused. "Boss?"
That afternoon, Leo was checking out the latest buzz in the tech world. Greg, who had snagged second place in the national computing competition, had been arrested for illegally hacking into government departments and leaking sensitive data overseas, putting national security at risk...
Leo clasped his hands, staring at the news, baffled as to why his uncle would do such a thing.
At Cedillo Inc., Andre instructed, "Keep tabs on anyone who reaches out to Greg."
"Boss, do you think the Dark Web will try to spring him?"
Andre glanced disdainfully at the computer screen showing Greg's arrest. "Nurturing talent isn't easy; the Dark Web won't just let him go."
Noah nodded. "Understood, boss."
Before he left, Andre added, "Do a thorough check on all the employees in the headquarters' tech departments."
"Got it."
After Noah left, Andre picked up his phone to call Conner.
"What's going on?" Conner answered, sounding a bit impatient. He hadn't had the chance to go out with Annie in a while and was feeling the frustration.
