That reminded Sabrina of her mother again. Those eyes she found outside their area were dazed, and even though Sabrina couldn't see her face, she was certain that those were the eyes of her mother. The thought of what her mother had been going through pierced through her heart like a sharp blade. She went off the shower in silent sorrow, not even bathing Aino could help brighten up her mood. The child noticed her mother's struggle and decided to remain quiet as well. After they had showered, Sabrina tucked Aino in for a short nap and she slowly drifted off to sleep after Aino. She was exhausted, but couldn't seem to find peace in sleep.

Sebastian, too, was tired but he had no time to rest. After seeing that Sabrina and Aino had gone to sleep, h e went to his study to work. It's been half a month since he showed up at the office. Everything was operating as per usual, with only the documents that were pending to be approved piling up in an electronic drive. After handling them all, it was about time for dinner and so he stepped out of the study, only to find Aino sitting at the dining area by herself.

"Where's Sabrina?" he asked Aunt Lewis.

Before Aunt Lewis could respond, Aino shushed him and said, "Daddy, Mommy is too tired. Let her rest for a while. We can just heat the dishes up for her again when she wakes up."

Sebastian stroked his daughter’s cheek gently. "Hm, whatever Aino says. What a considerate girl."

He then took his seat at the dining table and fed Aino himself. "You need to eat well. Eat more, so that you can grow faster and bigger, and then you can protect your Mommy. She is suffering so much."
