Ruth was bending down and talking to Aino. "My beautiful Aino, your mom interrupted you earlier when you were about to say something to pretty Aunt Ruth, which got me thinking, did you bring a gift from Star Island for me?"

Though Ruth was an honest-to-god person and could sometimes be a bit slow, though at times she could be rather sly as well. When dealing with people her age, she was hardly as thoughtful as others, but when she communicated with children like Aino, her wittiness shone through. Ruth saw the monstrous doll in Alex's hand earlier and found it horrendous and dark with a sense of humor. The doll was huge and awkward-looking, with its teeth being musical keys. It didn't take much for Ruth to figure out that Alex wasn't the type of person who would buy something like that. None of the others would either. Even Sabrina, who was closest to Ruth, couldn't possibly buy such oddly-fashioned toys that were likely used in pranks, because she was a serious person who rarely joked around. The only possible explanation to it was that the monstrous doll that Alex was holding onto was actually a gift from Aino to Jane. Jane must have been startled at the sight of her present and therefore it ended up in Alex's hands.

'Naha! It's hilarious!' she thought. Ruth desperately wanted to touch the doll and at that moment, she

wished that it was her present instead. She loved it. Unfortunately, the doll was a gift from Aino, and Aino had the right to give others whatever she felt like giving as gifts, Ruth didn't feel that she had a choice i n it. However, considering that Jane's gift from Aino was a doll so uniquely beautiful and creative, the gifts Aino had prepared for her and Yvonne must be special as well. She was so excited that she couldn't hold back her urge to ask.

Aino immediately started giggling at her question. "M m-hm, I bought presents for all of you." Aino had been itching to say it out loud, and to surprise them once they saw them. It was just her mother who was standing in the way.

Ruth's interest was instantly peeked. "Really? Really? What kind of present? I can't wait to see. Hurry and go get it so that pretty Aunt Ruth can see it."
