Kingston sighed. "I'm 99% sure that is the truth.”
The six year old little kid did not understand what he meant by bringing up 99%, so she asked again, "That old man from the Lynn family, is my Mommy's daddy?”
Kingston nodded. "Yes."
The moment he said that, the little girl started crying. Just a moment ago, she was like a little warrior, swearing to protect her mother, wanting to hook the old man with two metal hooks. How did she start crying just a moment later?
"What's wrong, little princess?" Kingston was terrified.
Aino wailed, "Why? Why did this happen, Uncle Kingston? Shouldn't fathers love and cherish their daughters, just like my Daddy loves me? But why doesn't my Mommy's daddy love her? Instead, he loves my Mommy’s enemy! Why? Uncle Kingston, my Mommy is so pitiful."
Kingston sighed. Because she was just a six-year-old child, her thoughts and mindset weren't as complicated. She could not comprehend the evil and ruthlessness that adults had. All she knew was that, since he was her father, he should love his daughter b y right.
At these thoughts, Kingston deeply regretted telling
the little girl the truth. He immediately tried to comfort her. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, little princess. I was wrong, my judgement is inaccurate. The old man from the Lynn family, he...he’s not your mother's father, he's your mother’s enemy. I made a mistake, can...can you please forgive me?"
