"What was even more unexpected to me was that after you left my company, you became worse and you went to harm another company. You actually even sold that other company's confidential information. Eevonne, after all, I was the one who didn't discipline you well when you were in my company back then! After all, I was too lenient to you. Your actions were so nasty at that time that I should have taken you to the police station!"
What Deacon said stunned everyone who was present. Eevonne, however, was not flustered at all. She was looking down and playing with her phone. A couple of minutes later, she lifted her head to look at Deacon, then asked indifferently, "Then, Mister Lowe, do tell, what shameful things have I done or what crimes have I committed when I was in your company back then? You might as well just tell us straight."
Decon was stunned. He did not expect that Eevonne would react this way. Based on his understanding of Eevonne, when she saw him lashing out and heard him exposing all of her embarrassing matters one by one, Eevonne should be terrified. She should cower and feel lost like a cowardly person. However, unlike in the past, Eevonne did not have that kind of reaction. She was very calm, so much so that she did not even take it seriously at all.
In the past, Eevonne had been incomparably afraid of him, who was her boss, and was very cautious and fearful. At that moment, Eevonne was not afraid of her anymore, much less cautious and fearful. That made Deacon feel a strong sense of frustration from losing face.
"You!" He was so angry that he raised his hand and pointed at Eevonne. "You’re all mighty now, aren't you? You actually dare to talk back to me?"
