As soon as the old voice was heard, the crowd turned around and looked in its direction. They then saw that a trembling old man with white hair was slowly walking toward the crowd from not far away. The elder man was too old. He looked like he was ninety years old. However, the elderly man had an indescribable dignity to him, which made others could not help but feel afraid of him. Many people could not help but make way for him to pass through.
Someone with a keen eye immediately recognized him. "Old Master Shaw?"
That was right. The elderly man who was walking over slowly was Gloria's father, who was also Sabrina's grandfather, Old Master Shaw. When they heard someone mentioning Old Master Shaw, the few police officers also looked in his direction.
Two of the officers came up to him. "Sir, why are you here? At your age, you should b e resting at home, why are you out here concerning yourself with this? Tell me, who is your daughter?"
Old Master Shaw gently looked at Gloria. Gloria hung her head and she did not look a t Old Master Shaw at all. She did not hate him as much as she used to in the previous years, but she also did not love him that much. After all, when she needed her father’s love the most, not only did not give any love, but he oppressed and banished her. As a result, she had been envious of others who were loved by their fathers since childhood, as well as growing up feeling inferior. That sense of inferiority had been with her almost all her life and had led to all the miserable consequences later on in her life. If she had not been feeling inferior back then, Gloria never would have married Lincoln. She never would have let herself and her daughter go through half a lifetime of miseries.
Therefore, Gloria has forgiven her father, but she never loved him. She also did not want to have too deep of a relationship with him.
Her father and her brother had invited Gloria to live with them many times. She could have been taken care of a little better at their house as they had maids and everything. Also, Gloria would not be stopped from going to dance with her dance group, and there was a grand piano there, which was dedicated to her.
