Sabrina’s voice was so low that it was barely even a whisper that no one beside her could hear, and was more like a faint sound that was emitted from the depth of her throat. Every muscle on her body tensed uncontrollably at the man's presence. It had been six years and the intimidating aura on him seemed to have only thickened since she last saw him. Without even saying a word, he could bring the most strong-willed people down to their knees. The Sullivan family lost every last strand of their previous arrogance the moment he stepped in, and immediately fawned over the man.
"Mister...Mr. Ford, what brought you here? This...this injury on my back isn't really that bad," Mr. Sullivan smiled humbly at Sebastian, stuttering as if he was at complete loss of words. His wife nodded frantically by his side, not daring to utter one single word.
Surprisingly, their son Leo seemed familiar with Sebastian and called out to him, "uncle!"
"Mm-hm," Sebastian responded in a low tone.
"Skank!" Leo looked back to Sabrina's direction and flaunted, "now you've seen for yourself, this is my dad's new friend, the big boss from South City, he is super-duper powerful! If you don't get Aino Scott to kneel before me, Uncle Ford here is going to have her killed!" 1
Though he was merely a child, the influence of his parents had proven to be enormous and had shaped him into a vicious egocentric person.
"Sir, you are..." Neil's eyes widened in disbelief as he tried to process the fact that the man before him was the most powerful man of South City, the current master of the Ford family who had expanded his family business by five folds of what they had, Sebastian Ford.
"Sebastian Ford of South City!" Sebastian gazed over a t Neil with a cold expression and Neil instantly felt his stomach sink in response. If the backer Mr. Sullivan had was Sebastian Ford, then Sabrina Scott was beyond saving. Though Neil himself was considered powerful in the county, he could not hold a candle to Sebastian's influence.
"Director...Director Ford." Neil wanted to at least try and plead for Sabrina's case, but was interrupted when Sebastian raised a hand, gesturing for him to stop.
