He had nothing to say. At that moment, all he did was murmur to himself. "I've swept through the entire mountain, but she was nowhere to be found. She must have been lying when she said she was on the mountain!"
Sabrina laughed coldly. "Jane will never lie. If she said she's on the mountain, then she's definitely on the mountain. It's just that she decided to move away the moment she heard you say you wanted to find her."
Alex sighed. Subconsciously, he choked on a sob. He felt a sense of despair in his chest. He never expected he would feel this way. He always thought he had no feelings for Jane, what's more love. They were just coworkers who were very compatible with each other. Jane said it herself, the day his true girlfriend came back, she would disappear willingly. Now that his true girlfriend was back, and true to her word, she disappeared. But his entire life was a mess. He was going to go crazy.
Right at that moment, someone called him. Alex thought it was news from the men he sent out to search for Jane. He immediately answered. "Hello?"
It was a call from his father, the man rarely interfered with his personal life. Old Master Poole said on the other end of the phone. "Alex! What do you think you're doing!"
Alex’s voice immediately sounded downcast and dispirited. "What do you want, father?"
On the other end, Old Master Poole said furiously," You're too much! Previously, you were together with that woman named Jane Sheen, no one in the family was against your decision, right? None of us mistreated her too, yet you didn't treasure the relationship. You broke up with her and said you wanted to be with Lily! But now, what about Lily? Again you chose to break up with Lily. You're already i n your thirties, you have brought shame upon our entire family!"
Alex sighed. "If you have nothing important to say, I'm hanging up now."
"Come back to Kidon City immediately!" The old man ordered.
