Chapter 29: The first meeting

Xavier's pov

I was going down the road not knowing where it went

My mind was preoccupied with thinking where she was

My wolf was in pain since the second Ezra bid her farewell to me

Her last words being how much she loved me

I was a fool to not realise who she was

She was always there but I was to blind to see it

Now I knew her reasons

Her reasons for killing my dad

For hating royals

For hating me

And why wouldn't she?

We attacked her happy world and destroyed her world first

We became monsters in greed of power and position

I still remember that day I first met her

I did save her that day but that was the only good I did in my entire being

I took away her everything and accused her of destroying me when in fact I was the destroyer

18 years

How each and every minute was a struggle for her

And how I made it worse

My knuckles turned white because of the strong grip I was having on the steering

The words I spoke

The torture she endured

All kept breaking my insides

I banged my hands on the wheel getting frustrated

When suddenly my car lost it's balance

I applied the breaks and the car came to a screeching stop

I closed my eyes and rested my head on the wheel

Drop by drop my tears of pain landed on my thighs

"..I......am sorry.....Ezra......I.....am.....so damn .....sorry!!!"

My chest was getting constricted with the weight of guilt in my heart.

Then suddenly my soul showed me a way

A way that will lead me to her

I shifted the gear to 1 and pressed the accelerator

Within few minutes I was standing there where we first met

The lake inside the forest

There was a deadly silence over there

Not even a single leaf was moving and everything felt dead

This was the place where everything started and I don't know why but I felt that this place only will make us meet again.

I leaned my back against the same tree and closed my eyes

Ezra where are you?

Minutes passed hours passed

Now it was the break of dawn

The lake in front of me felt so peaceful

I wish I deserved the same peace

My feet started moving towards the water

It felt like the lake was calling for me

Asking me to touch and feel it's serenity

As me body entered the cold water my disturbed mind calmed down

It's coldness made me numb

Anf it felt good

Like I was finally getting punished for what I did to her

I stepped further

Slowly I felt my face going underwater

There was a heaviness under the water

My eyes body all felt heavy

I looked around to see long plants and mosses in the deep

Blue colour prevailed around me and I wished to stay here

I couldn't hold my breath any longer and my lungs were ready to explode but still I wanted to be here

At peace with nature

In depths of water

"Alpha we couldn't locate her ....but the storms in both the packs are calming down..."

I got a mindlink but it didn,'t mattered

I lost her and she was never coming back

Her wolf was a monster and she will never let Ezra live

She will use my Ezra's body and leave nothing of her

I wanted to feel Ezra pain

So I stayed under water even when my lungs protested

As I closed my eyes I imagined Ezra's happy face and I felt like staying here only

With her away from this world

I opened my eyes and I could see her figure inside the water

She was floating under the water with me looking at me with her loving blue eyes

I lifted my hand to touch her and she smiled at me

"Ezraa.....pleasee.....come back..."

I whispered in my mind

And as if she heard me she offered me her hand

I moved forward to touch her hand but as soon as I was going to touch it.she pulled it back and giggled at me...

Ezraa pleaseeee

I pleaded and she started going back

I tried swimming towards her but I felt like I was paralysed

I couldn't move and she again drifted farther way from me

Ezraa!!! Ezra!!! Wait!!!

I was screeming .
