Driven by the determination not to lose those he loved, Nash woke up. He was controlling a searing energy in his hand as he looked down at the flames surging toward him.
"A mere flame dares to compete with the sun? Begone!" With this command, the turmoil in Nash's heart settled into perfect calm.
However, the wounds on his body began to reappear.
Nash struggled as he forced himself to stand, but his vision darkened, and he fell to one knee.
It seemed his body had reached its limit, but he could still fight. He had to!
Nash roared as he trembled while pushing himself back up. "It's not over! None of this is over."
"Quite inspiring." A voice suddenly came from behind him. Nash turned to see a figure identical to himself.
"Who are you?" Nash asked in confusion.
"I am you," the other Nash answered ambiguously. With a wave of his hand, Nash's injuries healed instantly.
Staring in disbelief at this powerful version of himself, Nash felt his consciousness begin to fade. He knew he was about to wake up.
The other Nash then tossed a pair of earphones that were enveloped in Zaafea's energy to him. "Put these on, and you'll understand everything."
"What? What do you mean? Who are you really?" Nash shouted, but his voice faded as he began to wake up.
…
"Who's there?!" Nash shouted as he jolted awake. He was sweating as if he had a nightmare.
His four women embraced him tightly, and each of them had tears of joy in their eyes.
"Thank goodness, you're alright!" they cried, overwhelmed with relief.
Nash comforted them gently before stepping out of the protective barrier. "Evie, you've done well. Go rest now," he said to Evelyn.
Evelyn nodded to him in exhaustion.
Then, he declared with unwavering resolve and a commanding voice, "Now, all of you go and rest. I'll end this crisis."
His women nodded silently as their faith in him was absolute.
Then, Nash took to the sky, flying back to the battlefield.
